Public Relations Specialist

Job Description

Athernova is seeking a dynamic and creative Public Relations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR campaigns to enhance our brand image, manage media relations, and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to promote Athernova’s mission, vision, and initiatives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage.

Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.

Monitor media coverage and analyze PR campaign performance to measure effectiveness.

Organize and manage press conferences, interviews, and other media events.

Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, social media, and content) to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Manage crisis communication and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Identify and leverage opportunities for brand visibility through partnerships, sponsorships, and events.

Stay updated on industry trends and media landscape to identify new PR opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications.

Proven track record of successful PR campaigns and media placements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

Proficiency in PR tools and software (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, or similar).

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
