Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our equipment, machinery, and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and implement effective repair solutions.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.

Source and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components.

Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and systems.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in maintenance operations.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.

Provide technical support and training to junior staff and operators as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call shifts, as required.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in relevant fields (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP).

Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and robotics.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
