Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our databases, while also providing technical support and implementing best practices. This role requires a strong understanding of database management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries for maximum efficiency.

Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.

Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration as needed.

Design and implement database structures, tables, and schemas based on business requirements.

Collaborate with development teams to support application development and database integration.

Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple databases.

Automate routine database tasks and develop scripts for improved efficiency.

Stay updated with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices.

Provide technical support and training to team members as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).

Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.

Experience with database security, backup, and recovery procedures.

Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft SQL Server Certification) are an advantage.
