Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Manager to oversee and optimize our pet transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pets, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in logistics and transportation management. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of pets while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Operations Management:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily pet transportation schedules and routes.

Ensure all vehicles are well-maintained, clean, and equipped for pet safety and comfort.

Monitor and optimize transportation costs, fuel efficiency, and route planning.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and supervise a team of drivers and transportation staff.

Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring team adherence to company policies and safety protocols.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

Implement and enforce safety standards for both pets and staff during transit.

Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver logs, and incident reports.

Customer Service:

Address customer inquiries and concerns related to pet transportation promptly and professionally.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Continuously seek ways to improve the customer experience.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on transportation performance, including on-time delivery rates, customer feedback, and operational costs.

Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management.

Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
